Ford spare tire tool

Can anyone tell me if the crank used to raise and lower the spare tire, is the same length with regular and extended length vans?

The crank handle is different for each. I'm not sure if they are functionally different, but the RB is 2 pieces and the EB is 3 pieces. They store differently too, the EB is parallel to the floor reaching almost to the rear wheel. The RB stores vertically in the corner by the taillight. The difference between the two might be mostly down to how they store.

Dang, I would have thought they were the same length and interchangeable in a given year of even over a series of years. The spare tire lift/drop location is the same distance relative to the rear bumper / doors.

It has been so long since I have had a spare under the van, I cannot say for sure!

Thanks, I appreciate this...even though I wanted them to be the same.
