Great Customer Service: Alan at SMB West!

Hi all, new guy here. About a month ago my wife and I bought a 1997 Ford EB 2wd SMB. We are the third or fourth owners and while the van is in very good condition, it came without manuals and with a few modifications over the years.

I reached out to SMB West to see if there was any way to get the original build sheet and Alan replied that I would need the original owner's name since the files are organized by the ordering name. After a little digging in the old paperwork I found the an early registration and emailed Alan.

He replied that he was on the road visiting Nissan dealers but would take a look when he returned to Fresno.

Lo and behold, today in the mail I received the three-page original build sheets with all of the options and items ordered. Now that's service! No compensation and even after a busy week or two on the road, Alan put things in motion to get me these documents, a mere 15 years after the original build date.

Really impressed.

Yep, I agree that Alan is a great guy . . . and I've never met him in person.

My only concern is the "visiting Nissan dealers" part.

That said, he took my phone call and gave me insight BEFORE I even had a van, and was as cordial and helpful as if I was regular customer.
