I came across this site looking for off the grid camping.
I've lurked a bit, now I'm hooked.
I must say this forum is very versed in tech and ability.
At one time I was looking to build a expedition camp trailer for my very stout Jeep to pull. That was when I didn't have the chance to buy a solid true 1 ton van.
Well I found one, it's solid, rust is only on the rockers. It wasn't always a rust belt van.
So I'm using it to take my jeep out further and camp in it.
I got a lot of ideas here thank you. I've taken some SMB ideas and plans to heart.
I made a Bus Depot type Ezy-Awning from a $25 10x10 canopy from Dunham's sporting goods. attaching it using clamp on tarp clamp screw down on to the drip rail.
I'm putting in this weekend
foam insulation and a vanrug
Next
front captains seats.
queen memory foam raised bed
running dual batteries and inverter for now.
plus other camp necessities
I'm taking it out the first time camping on memorial day for a test run.
After the trip I want plan out cabinets
