Help needed. Ft Collins, CO. Air bag repair

Anyone know a place I can trust to replace a leaking Firestone Ride Right air bag? Just starting out on a two week drive around the mountains and left rear air bag won't stay inflated.

Try to remove the schraeder valve and give the threads a nice coat of pipe thread goop. One of mine was leaking and it did the trick. Couple of bucks and a few mins time

Derek at CCV in Loveland, CO may be able to help, Colorado Camper Van 1107 14th st Southeast Loveland, CO 80537 970-461-3808

Another Loveland location would be Performance Diesel 1125 S Garfield Ave Loveland,CO 80537 970-667-7396

Performance works on my rig, and I know CCV works with them as well. I haven't been able to find any one reliable to work on my rig in Ft Collins and I've really tried. Good luck...

Also check to make sure the air lines are still firmly attached to the fittings. You can just crawl under the van and push them tight by hand. You can also test with soapy water. Sometimes the plastic lines split where they go into the fittings, and you have to trim them back to solid material (use a razor blade for a nice square cut).

Otherwise, if you have a leak in your air bag (split bag, tear, etc.) you'll need a new air bag. The Firestones have a lifetime warranty (I believe), so you can send it back to them for replacement.

My passenger-side bag has been leaking for a while and I've been too lazy to troubleshoot it. This is a good reminder and motivation...

I'd be happy to take a look at it when I get back into town (hopefully this weekend). I should be around most of the week next week as well. I didn't have a leak in mine, but I had to weld the bottom alignment brackets to the axle because the U-bolts weren't holding them in place correctly causing a rub on the leafs. I'm pretty confident we can find the leak and if the bag is smoked, changing it out is no biggie. I've got a nice floor jack in the garage.

Les Schwab's keeps just about the entire Ride Rite catalog on the shelf. They won't split a set up, but when I needed one in SLC, I saved the rest of the kit for spare parts, and eventually used most of those pieces too!

Lost internet connection!!

Thanks for all the responses! After "not" getting any replies (or so I thought) I called a few shops with no luck. One seemed to know what she was talking about and advised me to deflat the other side down and go on our with our vacation. Hopefully this wont mess up both air bags. I may still make a few calls today before we leave the area as we are not too far away from Ft Collins. (Headed west on 14 to Red Feather Lakes).

May contact you TheWooginator and take you up on your offer!

my airbag setup specifically stated not to ever run them with less than 5 or 10lbs (cant remember exactly atm) in each bag. using the firestone sportrite kit. might want to double check to make sure the info you received is good info. not sure what can happen when you run my setup low, but don't really want to find out.

Also, just for future reference, Houska on Mulberry has done a ton of work on our SMB and seems generally unintimidated by them.
