Re: Hot water?

Friend just picked up the Aqua Cube. Second unit. The first one kept blowing fuses. Retailer had a new one to him in a few days.

We tried it out last night and seemed to work great. Quick, easy and just worked.

Had I know about this product before my build I would have gone this way.

I will get a full test in a few weeks on our next trip.

Re: Hot water?

Does it have a tank? or is it tankless like some of the EcoTemps?

Re: Hot water?

Tankless, just drop the pump end into a buck or other vessel and you are set to go....

Re: Hot water?

I've been thinking of this one.

Eccotemp L5 Portable Tankless Water Heater and Outdoor Shower by Eccotemp Systems http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000TXOJQ4/ref ... Stb1YK3FRZ

Super cheap and great reviews. I will have one as soon as I figure out where u can mount/store it.

Re: Hot water?

I have the L7 installed and wish I knew about the Aqua Cube before. The digital temp control is great on the Aqua. The Eco you have to mess with temp control all the time and waste water getting it right.

I have had issues with the L7 working properly at 6000ft or so on the last trip we went on. As soon as we came back down in elevation it worked great but I am up high a lot. Customer support stated it's rated up to 7000 or so but not the case on the last trip.

I'll have a full trip report on the Aqua in three weeks when we get back. Two people in the group will be using them for the first time.

Re: Hot water?

I found the temp thing kind of amusing. Made me think how I got along all those decades at home without an LED to tell me what the water temp was
