My buddy Dave in Turlock, who I have know for umpteen years and has a Sportsmobile and has been writing at autoramblings.com for a couple of years now, told me I should probably sign up and check out the buzz here at Sportsmobile Forum.
Found it on google searching 4x4 camper vans....after seeing what I now know was a sportsmobile in Red Rock!! Now after watching and reading for a bit, I am registered and looking for the right SMB!! The westy is going on the auction block! great job all who contribute, very informative.
Rumblin fumblin stumblin and found this great site while looking for a fiberglass top for my latest windsurf van. Google with lots of dirt roads. Joined as soon as I found it, looks like a lot of useful info and ideas. Hopefully I can get started on my build soon.
We looked at Sportsmobile's about 5 years ago, but decided it was to small. We went with a 33' TT, then a 34' 5th wheel, and finally a 40' MH. We have been fulltiming for 4 years, and may go back to a stick house & travel in something a little smaller than a 40 footer. I would say a Sportsmobile is a little smaller!!
Found you through the link on the SMB site. Have been lurking for about a week, reading and trying to learn everything I can. Very interested in having a SMB.
