Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

I saw an SMB 4x4 a couple of years ago & decided I wanted one ! Google'd it. The forum was one of the places I found with that search. Was a "lurker" periodically for awhile and finally formally joined. This is my first post.

My compliments to the community around this forum. This is a fanatical following this company and product have built, and an equally impressive group of "users" who have come together here.

Off topic / about me:
Live in the SF Bay Area. I am just beginning to seriously look and explore for a rig. Open to all options, including new, but believe pre-owned probably best value. Hope to get one sometime in the next ?? months and formally join in with you all.

My target right now is an 2003+ SMB 4x4 with EB body & penthouse. Prefer diesel but the 6.0 Powerstroke...(you guys know that story).

Lots of interesting info elsewhere on this forum about the Powerstroke issues, financing used rigs, etc. If I need help as I go, I'll reach out and see who among you might have some thoughts.

For now, all I can finish with is.....GO GIANTS (2 games up with 5 to go......)

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

After I bought my Sportsmobile I was typing in sportsmobile.com in the internet search and sportsmobileforum.com was also listed. Clicked on it and been on here ever since. Thanks for such a great service!

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

I'm seriously thinking of buying one and I figured that a company with this good of a product must have a forum so I googled you and jumped in. I've got a lot of reading ahead of me.

What's a "Sportsmobile Forum"? I haven't heard of that yet

But if I found one, I bet I'd buy a dang T-shirt

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

Been dreaming about sportsmobiles since I glued my first van body to a RC car chassis as a kid. Got to looking around a while back and actually "asked Jeeves" - Where is the best place to learn about Sportsmobiles? I stopped looking for sites when I got here...Most excellent Group.

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

I found the site by accident, but am sure glad I did. I was hunting for a used SMB, but now am thinking of building one new. Anybody who lives in the San Diego area and would like to meet to talk SMB's I would appreicate it.
Many thanks, again a great site!

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

I don't have a Sportsmobile, but I do have a 2010 E350. I found this site by Googling. I was searching for a front winch bumper and found Aluminess and then their site pics linked here. I have a Reunel rear bumper that I really like for towing. Its beefy. But for the front I want something lighter, like an Aluminess bumper.

Anyway, it's nice to be here.

Thanks,
Kent
