Re: I need new windshield wipers!

I wipe them also every cleaning, and use a foam block to keep them up in the air off the glass when not on the road.

I have had them on all my cars for years. They are so good, you can clean your windshield without spraying water.

They were one of the first things I added to my SMB when I first got it. Also, you can run a bigger size than the stock size is. I believe stock is 20". I changed my Driver side to 22", and the passenger to 21". I think you could run 22" on both sides though. I only went 22 & 21 because that's what the replacement size was on my Tacoma, and I had them lying around.

I bought kinewave's van and have inherited the piaa silicone wiper blades on the van. They do have a shelf life and they are now streaking and not clearing all the water. I too am thinking of replacing the piaa blades and may try something else?

Re: I need new windshield wipers!

I used 24" Costco wipers on the last change and they have worked great. The extra coverage is fine with no binding or conflict.

At $8 each, I should have been doing in every year.

Re: I need new windshield wipers!

I've only had the PIAA silicone wipers on the van for a few months, but on my recent 2,000+ mile trip, they were fantastic. Absolutely quiet, and no streaks. Had plenty of rain and snow to deal with, and they didn't miss a beat.
