ID this swaybar

I’m looking to add a swaybar for my 97 Econoline to help while on-road. Unfortunately the more popular options involve using the rear shock tabs on the axle as a mounting point and I have cut mine off and gone with some custom tabs.

I was able to find this picture from an 11 year old thread and although I might have to modify it a bit due to my height, should work perfect. Anyone know this model or a similar model that doesn’t involve the shock tabs?

Looks like a Hellwig sway bar. Different end links than I've seen before but the bar shape looks exactly like a Hellwig I have sitting here in the shop.

Oh wow I guess I completely misunderstood how those mounted. Have you had any issues with those fitting on rear ends lifted ~6”?

I’m in the Wenatchee area. Did yours improve the sway?

Yeah the Helwig mounts to the axle with u-bolts and then bolts to the frame at the top of the end links.

On some Econolines with the OEM sway bar it mounts to brackets welded on the axle I think. I got one years ago at a pick and pull off an E450 cutaway (for $30!). I had to source u-bolts though to mount on my axle.

OP. That’s a Hellwig with quigly mounts. (Mine is identical). So I’m assuming that van is quigly converted.

My Hellwig has the same mounts. I think that's standard when you order it for motorhomes.

If you need to extend the mounts, you just need longer 5/8" grade 8 bolts or all-thread, and cut some hardened tube for the sleeve. Basically just keep the links perpendicular to the sway-bar. You can lift it a few inches without needing to do anything.

I actually took it off and didn’t notice enough difference to put it back on.
If you have any plans to head to the west side I’m sure we could make a pretty good deal if you wanted it.
