Identify conversion

Hey Everybody,

Just picked up this 4 x 4 chassis to swap onto my 7.3 body/engine/frame.

Has kingpin Dana 60 front and full float Dana 60 rear.

I’m wondering if anybody can identify who the conversion was done by, it looks professional.

Cheers

That's a balljoint 60, not a kingpin. Also, blocks in the front suspension are a no-no. I haven't seen a van setup with the shackles at the front of the front springs in a long time, looks like stock F350 (<'98) design.

Thanks for clarifying.

I’m deciding which direction to go. The UJoint kit seems like a good well tested platform.

Also mounting leafs to the front of the crumple zone is a huge no-no as well, unless it’s reinforced. That van was most likely a home build, and it probably was not really drivable

Gotcha, looked well done. At least I got a good set of axles (with 4.10s), transfer case, and some other misc.

Get yourself a Ujoint diy kit and you should be in good shape.

The J is correct ball joint, not king pin. Blocks big no no. Shackle forward and the crash frame horns yikes. Shacles forward worst ride quality you can have.. Definitely good start just fix the mistakes it will be fine. I'd just go 4 link with 3.0 coil overs and use the rear fixed mounts as my lower arm mounts they look very well mounted.

Looks not too far off from the Advanced conversion on my van. It's a mess, and getting cut off in the next couple of weeks (finally).
