Glad they were able to help out.
I'm typing this from inside the SMB in Hubert's service bay. While they work away, I've got a makeshift office going here.
Today's to do list:
Full oil/filter change
Switch Amsoil lines
New air and fuel filters
Install mag-hytec tranny pan and change tranny fluid/filters
Rotate tires and check alignment
New brake pads
Lube chassis and drivetrain
That will set me straight for another 15-20k miles.

hehe. Manny said they have 15 or so SMB customers.
i got all my fluids replaced, some hose/lines readjusted, alignment (pulled to the right), and my new hella lamps installed (needed brackets built so too much for me).

Hubert/Manny are now very familiar with SMBs and the more they see the better. It is a huge PITA for me to get over to Lawndale from Pasadena. But I'm happy to suffer a bit of inconvenience for the quality of service and peace of mind in knowing they did it right.
They are seeing 2-3 more next week for the amsoil line switch and other basic maintenance.
The work on my van took about 11 hours yesterday and both Hubert/Manny stayed in the shop till 730pm to get it all done in one shot.
That saved me a return trip in the near future which is worth a LOT.
Manny showed me the literature for the lights they put on your van. I may be doing that too. The hellas I have there now from SMB are quite weak. The auxiliary lights are my 'deer spotters' when driving at night and I'd like a more powerful setup.

Took my SMB there for the Amsoil change. Hubert and Manny were very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely will go back there for future service.

Re: LA area SMB service.
Scheduled a visit to Bob's Brake and Alignment for later this week to get the front wheel bearing service done, as well as the coolant flushed and filled.

Re: LA area SMB service.
Hubert just did a full service on my van and he did a great job. He and his guys are nice and no BS like you get in some other small car care places. Might even have the Impala sold to the dyno shop nextdoor.
He has another SMB in that I have yet to figure out how he did what he did.

Is it the white one with the PH top pushed to one side and all kinds of strange damage? Saw one like that there when I was there at the end of last year; seemed like it must of been a slow flop to one side.
