Thanks Herb, it's on 3 wheels and 3 jacks. I think I'm ok there. Trust me, I learned the hard way about safe jacking. I'm being careful. Mostly I'm suffering working on gravel but I'm doing that because I'm sandblasting and this is my only out-of-the-way covered place where I can make a mess.

Re: Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!

continued......I got a big box from Fedex yesterday.........hmmmmm..........

Wow! It's a big Truckfridge!

Yep, it's almost as big as the interior of the van, but we like lots of fridge space. These guys are really super. I dealt with Terry. They are only one state away from me, but it was on my doorstep 1 day after I ordered, and that was with a winter storm passing through our area. Fedex and Truckfridge do a bang up job!

I went for the 4.2 cubic ft. model (T130). It has the Secor? (Formerly Danfoss I'm pretty sure) compressor and the build quality of this thing is really impressive, especially for the price. Door latch, LED lighting, deep freezer that is as deep as the unit, edges on the shelves so things don't slide out, etc. Here is a pic of a half gallon of milk for size reference.

I can't wait to start the interior build but it will be a while.

So are you committed to this thing now?? Seems like it with all the stuff you're doing to it!

I'm committed to it until the day I'm not. It's just the way I am. I absolutely love it, as I did the blue van. Is it the last one I'll ever have? I would say 'probably' as my wife and all my friends start laughing.
There's no getting around the fact that it's too small for us, but my current plans are to build it out, enjoy it for awhile and see.

I have some pretty cool plans for it. Stay tuned......

I'm just like you! I can't keep a car for myself for longer than a year. Glad to see you're reviving this thing!

Re: Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!

I got some bling today.

Out with the sun-faded, cracked OEM grill

And in with my one-of-a-kind (in my neighborhood anyway) hip, billet grill that everyone else already has! Look for it to change colors when the bumpers do.

If it would get above freezing I would get a lot more done.

Re: Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!

Cool stuff keeps showing up at my doorstep! Those are Bushwackers in the plastic. Possibly the most overpriced accessory I've ever bought for a vehicle. I have no idea how they can justify $400 for a set of these.

Sneak peak of my de-rusted front axle

Lots of progress under the van, lots more parts ready to go on if I had time. Hoping to have it useable by mid March. Wheels and tires, exhaust and my new Fox setup from BajaSportsmobile in the next week or two. Woohoo!

Re: Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!

Scotty - what are you doing for the underside rust? We have a new-to-us 2001 Quigley 15 passenger. The body is nearly perfect - but there is a lot of surface rust underneath. I'm thinking brushing/wheeling followed by ospho and then chassis paint (spray). Finally a coating of fluid film or waxoyl. No "undercoating". There's a million ways to go about it, but yours looks nice - just curious.

Thanks - good day. Bob
