What? Must be an optical illusion in one of the pics. The Jeep tires are good. I slid it in to a curb on icy roads last week and bent the lip of a wheel but other than that it's solid.

Thanks Scott - seems like we're going about it close to the same. My Van's rust is a bit different than I'm used to - I've had to go the "cut and replace" route before, and the electrolysis route before - but this is just surface rust I'm dealing with. I do want to take care of it though.
Now I just need some warmer weather to get started. Cheers - B

TOTALLY looks like a right rear flat - glad to hear you're in good shape!
...and now back to your regular scheduled programming.

Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!
Ah, I see. Tis but an illusion.
So, I found this on top of my intake manifold today. What kind if nest is it I wonder. No dead critters or droppings in it thankfully.

I think that's a Motorcraft pre-filter.

Re: Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!
It was one of these kinds of weekends.
I got a lot done on the van, and generally enjoyed being outside all weekend without working in a snowsuit. Rusty got new plugs, wires, belts, radiator, radiator hoses, thermostat, Banks filter (paired with the exhaust), MSD ignition, cap, rotor, etc., and I also made and cleaned up the biggest mess ever trying to sandblast some surface rust off some engine components (from inside and outside of the van). I'm sure I'll still be shaking rust out of it years from now, but it needed doing.
Window tint happens tomorrow morning and wheels/tires should be here Wednesday. Woohoo!
Also waiting on Agile Offroad suspension and side ladder to show up, then the interior assault will begin. Oh wait, maybe not. I may just go camping. I gotta get out and enjoy this van and this weather soon!

Re: Look what just drove up in my driveway, it's Rusty!
Woohoo! Wheels are on! I still have to pick up my 5th (spare) in a couple of days, he had to order it in. I used a great local tire shop called C&D Tire and will use them again. I chose American Eagle 100 series in black (thanks Rionapo) and Cooper AT3's (thanks to lots of you). 16" wheels with 285/75/16 E-rated tires. I didn't get my suspension done yet so it will go up an inch or two, but NO rubbing except a tiny bit on the inner plastic on full right lock, so after the new Fox shocks I will be fine. I also measured the rear track difference while all four wheels were off. It's a rough measurement with the tire mount guy helping me and he was in a hurry, but front rotor edge to rotor edge is right at 66" IIRC and rear is one inch narrower at 65". Not sure if I will bother with 1/2 spacers but I did find lots of them online last night and they aren't very expensive.
OK, here ya go.............
Here is is in daylight but harder to see the detail of the wheels
The window tint was also finished today, 5% (limo = very dark) on everything but the front doors, 20% on the front doors
The tire guy is swapping my chrome lugs for black. I forgot to ask and he is very helpful but had to order them in. They are Excalibur brand, which I'd never heard of.
Also, all of my engine mods and maintenance this weekend are perfect. She thumps along like a healthy 460 now with the Banks setup. Can't wait to get out on the road and start further enriching oil companies!
I'm stoked!
