Low fuel warning

My 08 E350 consistently lights up the Low fuel light after 28 gallons. The manual states a total capacity of 35, do I really have 7 gallons remaining? Has anybody ever found out? (on purpose or otherwise)

Re: Low fuel warning

The low fuel light means you getting low. It could be 7 gallons left, it could be 5 (or less). The only way to find out is to empty the tank. If it is a gasser, you could drive it till it stops - don't try that with a diesel.

Re: Low fuel warning

My 08 6.0L does the same thing. I have set my ScanGuage to 30 gallons just to be on the safe side.
