Mud flaps

I got tired of the tires plastering my van with mud, rocks, ice, salt, and various other yuck, so I ordered two pairs of plain, cheap ($19.95/pr) JC Whitney mud flaps and fabricated brackets for them. I also didn't want to have them tear loose from the van body when I forgot to hook them up out of the way when backing up. My brackets have a strip of another mudflap fastened to them with sheet metal screws, but the flaps themselves are attached with cheap plastic push panel fasteners, so they'll come loose without doing any damage. They're easy to remount, and cheap, since the panel fasteners are about 25 cents apiece.

I've posted pictures in my album, and will try to enable them to be viewed.

Sorry. I haven't been on the board for a while. Chip guard is a product that is sprayed on the rocker panels, etc that will take more stone impact without chipping. I don't remember who makes it but if you check at any body/paint shop, they can tell you about it. I have it on my 93 Mazda (came from the factory that way) & it was on my 4Runner as well.
