Re: My new Promaster 3500, High Roof, Long body, Sportsmobil

All good questions.

I tend to drive the speed limit but never get over 70 even when the limit is higher.

My trip B had the last 10,000 miles on it and said 15.7 mpg. That included all the idling I do and towing my pickup back from Texas.

The last 3,000 miles (on my trip A) was my trip back to NY and showed 17.5 mpg. There was no tow but it does include some night time idling.

I have not weighed the van loaded or unloaded.

I do get the brake squeal but it is not noticeable except when pulling up to pay the toll with the window down. Then it is objectionable.

Thanks. Looks like you're already getting your moneys worth out of it.

Here are some pictures of the underside in case anyone is interested. The pictures were taken when I got the first oil change in California.

This first one shows the big battery box that is just behind the rear axle.

Then we have the black water tank on the drivers side.

Seems the gray water tank is on the passenger side. I was wrong when I said all the water was on the drivers side. I made an assumption before it was built.....
