Re: My SMB is dead in Death Valley

Ours has a kill switch that if I forget to flip it, it behaves the exact same way. This was a SMB installed option so you would know about it though. Sounds like a Ravelco issue?

Re: My SMB is dead in Death Valley

That is a real BUMMER. Just when we think we have the vehicle that can go anywhere
AND BACK. Hope it turns out easy and only slightly inconvenient. Good thing it was
only a mile and a half off highway and you were able to get a ride.

Bummer steve. Let's hope it's a Ford thing and under warranty.

I would have stayed with the van and slept in it.

Re: My SMB is dead in Death Valley

Sorry to hear that Steve.

I know what it is like to have your van die in a remote place.

In case it is the key (like carringb mentioned) do you have your 2nd key with you? Have you tried it?

Best of luck,

Mike

My SMB is dead in Death Valley

Thanks for all the support. After a 14 hour ordeal that involved breaking a tow truck, we arrived at Town Ford in Las Vegas in whose parking lot we spent the night! Fortunately, Ford Motor Co. covered the towing. It's a longer story that I can type in Tapatalk so for now, we are safe and waiting to hear what Ford thinks caused this. Thanks again for all your support.

Re: My SMB is dead in Death Valley

Glad to hear you safely made it to Vegas, although I'm sure this was not your idea of a fun getaway. Hopefully you are back on the road again quickly.
