Yup, thats what we use. Its handy and you can use it side and rear. I use it to assist loading motorcycles too.
The more crap you add on the more things there are to fail, not to mention hanging steps off of a 4x.

Need a booster step

I had one of the foldable plastic step stools and cracked it while using it on uneven ground. Stepped up (pun intended) and got an aluminum one that's stout.

I think they stopped making these steps and would love to find them again. I look at all camping worlds when I see one and have time. They are the right height and store pretty good.

It works nice with our hoop step to get into/out of Sherman (32" tires, 4" lift). Very light weight and it doubles as a shower platform. I fold ours up and store it on the floor of the shower next to the porta pot.
