New SMB Owner

Hi, fairly new to the forum and a new SMB owner. My wife and I bought the rig from Ed Gabriel from Semi Valley the day after Thanksgiving. We drove it home to Idaho that weekend but not before spending some time around the Pebble Beach area. We've never been to that part of California. Its beautiful.

Its a 2006 Ford RB 50 4x4 with low miles. Ed and his wife took great care of it. Haven't had a lot of time to travel yet but did get to the Tetons over New Years. We're only a little over 2 hours from Jackson and West Yellowstone and we spend as much time in the two Parks as possible. My wife and I are both avid photographers and the SMB will be a great way to spend time in the Parks.

I've included a few pictures. Will add more to my album as we travel.

Re: New SMB Owner

Congrats on the purchase. Very nice SMB and great that you are already using it. I think we need to start a photo taking for beginners tutorial thread so all of you avid camera folk can give us some tips. I have seen some really fantastic photos on this site.

Re: New SMB Owner

Mike & Cris,

Congrats! That is one good looking rig.

I, too, use mine primarily for photo trips. It doesn't get better than this.

If you're interested visit my website to see what I do.

Re: New SMB Owner

Thanks for the comments. We really love the van. We're already making plans on where we'd like to take it and the places to explore. Going to add kayak racks this spring. When not photographing we spend time on the lakes, usually in the Tetons, in the kayaks. Sometimes doing both at the same time!

I've added a few more pictures. For some reason they didn't load the first time.
