How did you setup the airbag switch on the drivers seatbelt mechanism?

I was fortunate to get them very cheap from a friend who installed Scheel-Mann seats in his new Sprinter. They are brand new!

I took the seatbelt mechanism from both old seats and adapted them to the Sprinter seats. It was actually quite straight forward. Rather than a threaded bolt, I used a slightly smaller diameter grade 8 bolt and nut. I had to grind one of the tabs on the E350 mount to get it to sit right. Seems to work great! No airbag lights!

Yep, You actually get about 1 more inch away from the steering wheel. I am 6'4" and the extra bit makes a noticeable difference.

medicfernando, Thanks!! Drives me crazy! Don’t know that I’m that handy but I’m going to look for seats and the swivel setup too for the passenger seat!

I very much like your idea. As I am 6 4'' also, anything to back away from steering wheel and sit higher. Would you mind sharing the link for the seat base?

Thank you

Resurrecting this post with a question for the OP. I see you installed these seats on a swivel similar to mine. I noticed that the front of the swivel base sits about 2” higher than the rear. Are you happy with the final angle of the seats? Or did you have to make any more changes besides widening the mounts? Thx

seatbelt pre-tensioner

I'd like to see a picture of how you mounted the Ford seatbelt pre-tensioner on the sprinter seat and the mods you had to do to make it work and stay fixed properly.
