New sprinter seats in E350

Hey all. I just finished installing new seats from a 2018 Sprinter in my 03 E350 SMB. They are very comfortable! They required some modification but was well worth it and not too difficult. As a bonus I was able to add an Overlandgearguy.com Sprinter rear seat organizer Heres some pics

The drivers seat was power. I had to replace the seat base. I replaced it with a swivel base. THe mounts are a little too narrow for the sprinter so I used 1.5inch wide 3/8" steel strap to widen the mount and voila, the sprinter seat mounted up. I had to cut the passenger side rails about 2 inches so they will swivel. All in all, pretty straight forward and very worth the effort. So much more comfortable. Will post pictures later. Cheers.

Looks good. A few questions...

Do you sit any higher or lower compared to the stock Ford seats?

As for the swivels, are they the same units that 1der sells here on the forum?

The seats are less than an inch higher I would say. Still very comfortable for me, but I am 6'4". Passenger seat is comfortable for my wife, she is 5'5". THe base I bought from an online source, really stout good quality, EXCEPT, 3 out of 4 base holes did not line up and I had to modify them. OOFFF. THe seat does swivel despite my transfer case shifter.

I did the same last year, still my favorite mod on mine. Totally eliminated the backache I got on long drives.

Does it allow you to move farther back from the steering wheel? My seat is all the way back and I still feel like I’m on top of the wheel! Ha
