New water tank

Since Belize has bought his tank now, maybe i could extend a few more questions to the experience of the group on this thread.
-I got a 10 gallon tank on order, going to mount it underneath behind the axle on the remaining space on a U-Joint rear skid plate. It's only for outside shower use or rinsing off a mountain bike...no in van plumbing system involved. Plan to pump it to a quick connect fitting on the rear bumper then plugin some type of flex hose hand held sprayer. Has anyone done similar to have first hand experience with a 12v pump spec they recommend? what detail to include or avoid?
-I don't see anything in the pump descriptions about being water resistance, do you think they can be mounted under the vehicle?
