Outdoor shower option?

Hi all -- we're thinking about installing an outdoor shower fixture at the rear of our Sportsmobile -- and wonder if anyone has tapped into the existing water pump (right now ours only supplies sink fixture) to deliver water to an outdoor shower. Seems like it should be okay -- but wanted to check. Thanks.

Hi.

I don't know how many have external showers, but I have an outdoor shower connection inside the rear of my van right next to the water heater and Watts control valve. I know others have this as well.

Thanks Chris -- I'm assuming you have just have one water pump -- and that sends water to the shower at the rear fixture? I appreciate your help. Rick

Yep, one water pump supplies the entire system. I have a sink as well and it actually is one of those with the extendable faucet.

The Joolca hot tap 2, in my opinion, is extremely well designed and thought out. I’ve only had it for a few weeks but I couldn’t be happier with it. I plan to do a writer up/review post on it in the near future.
I purchased the kit which includes the storage tub that doubles as a sink/wash basin.

Those Joolca systems are slick as snot on a door knob---very crafty and seem to be quite well suited to SMB's and the like.

I'd look forward to a review even though on is not in my future as I don't own or operate an SMB vehicle.

Am in the process of installing a Joolca system,hooking it into my existing outdoor shower water system also.

I have the stock SMB rear shower wand setup. I also have an outdoor hookup on the side of the van. Both are heated through a flat plate. The rear wand is OK but require the doors to be partially open and it does take forever for the hot water to reach the rear wand...lots of wasted water and with the doors open I have to deal with flying pests entering the van, something I don't prefer to deal with. The side port is inches away from the flat plate so hot water is almost on demand. If you just need a cold water solution the rear wand is fine and you can contend with insects by other means. Lastly the outside port can be an issue during freezing temps. So far I've had more issues with the lines freezing under the van than the outside port itself but it's something to consider.

As Arctic, we have indoor shower and outdoor shower but we have a compartment to hold wand, hose and knobs...think it is an all in one unit you can buy at any RV outlet, cut some metal and install...zoom in and you can see the door to the bottom-left of ladder...only drag of outdoor shower is where your water is ending up/draining...sometimes boots/feet are more muddy than when you started lol...we have ended up using a rubber2x4 mat we unroll and stand on
