Parts van-what to salvage?
There is a cheap (vintage ) 1993 E350 for sale, near the year of my SMB (1995).
I am thinking of buying and salvaging parts, then getting rid of the rest.
I was going to take the Dana (full float, rear axle), alternator, power steering unit, compressor, any transmission or oil coolers, seatbelts (?), light assemblies, spare bolts here and there, the window washer reservoir, wiper motor, electric window motors and switches.....
I don't want to end up with a van on blocks at my place for weeks so I plan to hit it quick and get rid of it. I've got storage for parts.
What else might be worth saving? Maybe the brake calipers so I can rebuild while the others are still on the van?

Re: Parts van-what to salvage?
You just sent a shiver up my spine. I'm in the process of moving fro CO to AZ and have been throwing stuff away like that for days. Junk is junk and I hope I never coleect anymore. A alternator is abot 35 bucks and a rear end is 200 in a junkyard. Save your time and money and buy what you need if you need it.

Re: Parts van-what to salvage?
I agree. When I moved from IN to AZ I had Cherokee and Comanche parts in triplicate... I could hardly give the stuff away. Doors, axles, shafts, wiring harnesses, rims, brakelights, seatbelts, seats... (I'm making myself ill just thinking about it)... in the end a bunch of junk.
Get the full floater and leave anything you can't use right now for another day.

BTW, if it has a gray interior, and the driver's kick panel is unmolested (holes, cracks,...) and will fit an '06, I would be interested in that part.

The plastic panel below the steering column, right in front of the driver's knees. It's where my aux light switches are, my brake controller is attached to,...I've wanted to redo the switches and switch layout for some time.

The 1993 and 2006 dashboards are very different. I doubt the parts will interchange.
