PH top interior trim deformation

Has anyone experienced this trim deformation on the underside of the PH top as seen in the attached photo? Top is less than 1 year old and lives in Boulder.

Looks like melted from heat to me. Seems awfully weird and only to be that section. Right behind the lifting blocks.

Wow....no...although that plastic is quite easy to replace...you just remove the screws by that strip on both panels and pull them down slightly and that connector plastic piece comes right out.

That appears to be (perhaps) a softer, thinner panel joiner than the older tops by the look of the pic.......

I didn't try very hard when rebuilding my top, but that part should be readily available.......it's an 1/8" panel joiner strip thingy....I would find a more robust replacement somewhere.

...it's also very odd that the strip is funky only between the panel screws..the last 8" on either side is fine....perhaps the panel fit is extremely tight or something.

OK.....I did some googling.....that strip is called a paneling division bar....actually an FRP division bar.....you need one for 1/8" (or .125") panels

Here you go..available at DoitBest hardware ....$4 for an 10' strip

I wonder if there a stove top directly beneath that trim piece?

That’s weird. I’ve only seen that on very old rigs and not nearly that bad.

Thank you BoyWonder. Seems like an easy fix. Hopefully this material can better handle the heat of summer.
