Wow Don, did you have to give back the van or did you had to take back the van for something? Hope the motor didn't blow up or the top fly off when driving down the road cause it sounds like something really bad happened. Of course SMB can't fix a Ford issue but I've found them to be the best company I've ever had to do business with when dealing with working out the bugs. If you get one that doesn't have minor issues, you would be a very lucky new owner. I have told others asking to expect problems...these things are all different and don't come off an assembly line like a standard RV. That's why I've always suggested to stick around where it's built for a couple weeks and do the breakin test. Hope you didn't travel back home a great distance and have to go back. Most of the owners out of state have posted SMB worked well with them covering repair costs done by other companies close to home. Maybe you didn't read the post about my build...might be worth a look:

I do think it would be OK to post a safety concern if your issue(s) could affect other owners, if it is indeed a safety issue.
