Re: picked up my new van

Wow Don, did you have to give back the van or did you had to take back the van for something? Hope the motor didn't blow up or the top fly off when driving down the road cause it sounds like something really bad happened. Of course SMB can't fix a Ford issue but I've found them to be the best company I've ever had to do business with when dealing with working out the bugs. If you get one that doesn't have minor issues, you would be a very lucky new owner. I have told others asking to expect problems...these things are all different and don't come off an assembly line like a standard RV. That's why I've always suggested to stick around where it's built for a couple weeks and do the breakin test. Hope you didn't travel back home a great distance and have to go back. Most of the owners out of state have posted SMB worked well with them covering repair costs done by other companies close to home. Maybe you didn't read the post about my build...might be worth a look:

I do think it would be OK to post a safety concern if your issue(s) could affect other owners, if it is indeed a safety issue.
Sorry to hear you're dissapointed with the van and/or service.

Don
I can say with a fair amount of certainty that Allen Feld will not be posting here. First, he's never posted here before, and second I think most companies know better than to get involved in an online, public back and forth he-said she-said discussion.

I hope you get things worked out so that you're back to being the happy camper that you started off as.

Re: picked up my new van

At this point I am going to smb on monday to have issue resolved.
the van works perfect and I will say perfect.
issue was a cosmetic thing is all I will say.
and if not for that one thing my van came out exactly as I wanted with no fault to craftsmanship.
DIG
ps Wednesday I leave for a two month vacation in my new van. As much off pavment as possible.
