Question about custom windows for cargo van

I have now Ford E350 1997 4x4 Cargo. I work with it to receive more functional van. I make it in Russia, therefore I have problems with the information on manufacturers. I badly know practice in US, but I see your fine results...

Now it is usual cargo, but it has special lateral light, you see it on pics.

These lanterns are cut through a wall, I assume to remove it and to put windows in a back part. I think to use about such windows, as on the third photo:

Who and where makes such windows in US how me to find contact to them? I see on ebay similar windows, but I do not understand, whether I can establish it on mine van.

http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw ... &_osacat=0

The installation site has 1 layer of metal, it will fasten reliably and without leakings in crude weather?..

I do not want to use the big windows from convertions, I need a long and narrow window. Pls, advise - what to choose and where it to buy in US.

I don't know anything about this seller (have not purchased from them), but the website has useful information about windows.

Good luck!

Oops. Missed a page:

This page has framed windows, which also come in a version that is not so tall.

Re: Question about custom windows for cargo van

I have received this window with ebay. such:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 2569687703

I asked the seller about applicability to mine E350. But this person was very lazy and stupid. First he answered, that cannot send to Russia (though I did not ask to send to Russia, my partner has a warehouse in NY). Then he had a cancer of a brain...

Sendings from US to Russia go very for a long time, I could not wait, while he will cure the brain. On his site it has been written, that it is applied for any walls, with thickness up to 2". To ANY VANS and campers... I do not know, that he meant...

There there is a framework of a window with a width almost 2". And there is an internal framework which it is necessary to put from within coverings. But I do not understand, how it to mount on thin metal van...

Wow. Posting from Russia. It makes all my parts problems seem pretty silly. Welcome and good luck with the conversion. Looks like you are enjoying some good spring weather.

Re: Question about custom windows for cargo van

I've tried (with no luck) to find some stock replacement windows for the side & rear doors that have a screened opening like the traditional CR windows most of you have. I wonder why they don't make them?

Re: Question about custom windows for cargo van

A couple of things that might be considered
#1 Try contacting Peter at SportsMobile West in Fresno for replacement windows .
#2 give some consideration to the style of windows that you will be using , the fixed windows
with Sliding Panes are usually less expensive and do not typically allow for as much ventilation as an Awning style window , they are also not as user friendly when you encounter fowl weather conditions . Awning type windows are very usable in a good downpour and typically are less prone to leakage after your vehicle is several years old . You do have to remember to close them while driving on brushy or very bumpy roads .
