What model or style Ram mounts are Ford E-350 SM using? I want to use a Samsung 7 or 8 inch tablet. Also, which Samsung seems to work best for Navigation purposes?
I use these because I like having my maps up at eye level. Their mounts are really sturdy, have a tilt/swivel, and a quick release if you get the move clip accessory:
I've heard good things about ProClip. I like options that don't require holes in your dash or anything suction mounted to the windshield, even though the one I linked above does.
We use the actual RAM brand stuff on our work trucks and the quality is unequaled.
Really happy with both the Ram Mount and the Pro Clip. I have a post on here depicting the install of the track used for the Ram Mount. The Pro Clip is genius. Keeps your device in a more heads up location. Doesn't feel super solid until its weighted. Don't notice vibrations or any movement with the ProClip.
I'm also a fan of RAM and ProClip. They both have something for just about every application, and are good solid products. These pics in a 2000 E350 SMB. I bought the Ram-a-Can wanting to switch the iPhone holder between vehicles, but it's a better fit in the center square space, since my van has a funky stepped cup holder, and with off road vibrations it'll tend to lean.
tlg, I'm curious on the use of your inReach. I use mine extensively (attached to my body) on bikes for both tracking and SOS if needed, but found it useless for tracking purposes in the van. I'm thinking an external antennae is needed. Any thoughts on getting better reception inside the vehicle, or do you have yours mounted "just in case"?
Use the Inreach quite a bit as we routinely travel through areas with no cell coverage. Works great in the ProClip dash set up. Still functional down below but may take a few more seconds to get a msg in or out. No external antenna needed. Definitely check your Inreach firmware. That's a constant source of issues if not updated.

I clip my InReach to the rear view mirror. It gets that needed "clear view of the sky" for transmitting and works great. The downside is, it's not facing you if you need to see the screen (I use an IPad for a bigger screen). I'd probably put it on a dash mount if I needed to have it facing me all the time.
