Rear tipout window for 1990 E150

Our 1990 E150 currently has fixed windows in the rear doors. I picked up a pair of Tip outs from a 1990 in my local Pick and Pull, however all I got was the glass and hinges. I'm trying to locate the rubber seals and the rest of the hardware for the windows. Any help with certainly be appreciated

I think you'll probably need to find another set at a junkyard. I've never seen just the seals and hardware listed on ebay or anywhere else.

Don't forget to get the plates that are inside of the door.

You may have to source the needed parts directly from the dealership---not sure they're still available though, call to check.

Otherwise you'll have to haunt eBay or the local salvage yards hoping to find what you need. I don't believe that option was common which would make the search that much more difficult.

There is a very helpful member on FTE whose user name is NumberDummy--he's a former dealership parts specialist, still has original catalogs with OEM part numbers going back to the 60's. He also knows of NOS parts sellers, has been known to find some parts through his network of such dealers.

HTH

There's somebody selling a set of rear doors with the windows you want on Facebook in Philadelphia for $300. Maybe he'd sell you just the windows? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...4794235917102/

Hell just buy the complete doors----scrap or give them to someone needing a pair, they could add their own fixed glass I'm sure.

The upside to buying the doors complete is they're far less likely to become damaged in-transit or by handling, especially the needed glass bits.

We're all looking for bargains but sourcing/finding parts for a vehicle that's nearly 30 years out of production greatly iimits our choices---right?

If you aren't in a rush, I still think it is worth waiting for ones to show up on ebay or a junkyard. I got mine, complete for $60 on ebay. Then I found a set in a junkyard a few months later. I didn't have time to pull them. The van is still there and when I visit that area this summer I can check it out for you.

Most junkyards post pics of their vans online, some will show the back. You can branch out of your area and see if you can find one. $300 makes for a nice overnight trip.
