Registration in AZ

A friend noticed that my van is registered as a commercial vehicle. I talked with the DMV and they said anything a ton or higher is considered commercial. Said if I had a f350, the it would be commercial as well. Anyone from Arizona have theirs registered different?

Re: Registration in AZ

Mine is the same way. I think its got something to do with the weight it can carry or tow. It doesn't have anything to do with commercial regulations like stopping at weight scales and such. You just get a different looking plate than normal passenger cars.
Now when I did get it registered they almost gave me the normal plates and said it would work but "if" I was pulled over with lots of weight that I could get in some sort of trouble that way.
