Rubber gasket between lid and body

Hi:
I'm trying to maintain the rubber gasket between the on the pop-up lid and meets with the roof. I've patched some of the cuts with a tire patching kit and it seems to be working.
My worry is that eventually i will have to replace the whole gasket. Is it difficult?

Thanks, great ideas. Will maintain the penthouse gasket until I totally replace it.

Re: Rubber gasket between lid and body

Rapidz,

We just recently had SMB spray the PH Top and the van roof with RaptorLine (like Rhino lining) and my gasket had been doing some similar stuff.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in the myriad of things you can do that worked for us is to wipe the gasket down with 303 Protectant. I don't know if its in my head or not but that stuff rocks for things like that (also use it to wipe down the fishing raft/pontoons) and it really helped maintain the PH Top gasket.

Hope that helps.

Good news, but which 303 are you using? The "aerospace" spray?
