FOB or with the key.
I cannot enter or exit my van without running lights flashing.
Not stealth or discreet in campgrounds at night.

Is there a bypass for this?
Check/uncheck maybe when diagnostics is hooked up?...

Thanks for any info.
Back on topic.

Try manually locking all the doors. Then unlock (again, manually) the door and exit. Close, open, as long as you don't activate the security system with the keyfob or the master door lock switch it works on mine.

The keyfob sends a signal to the Vehicle Security Module. It sends signals out to various other modules, but it looks like the signal that unlocks the doors is also the same signal that flashes the lights and horn.

Can't speak for the new vans, but it's not the on my 06. Easy to check, lock and unlock the doors from the button on the inside of the door without the key in the ignition. If there is no chirp / flash, then you will be able to turn off this feature, it's just a matter of how / which wire to cut. BUT, this may / probably will also disable the horn/lights when the alarm goes off, IF the van has a factory alarm.

I doubt it. The manual locking goes direct to the door locks, not through the VSM.

If you can find the wire to cut that disables the chirp/flash while still allowing the remote locking, tell us which wire you cut, because it isn't showing in the electrical manual.

The electric door lock button is the same circuit. Door lock, unlock, horn & lights are all separate analog circuits with no other circuits running to the device. ie the only way to unlock the door without a key is to send a 12v pulse to each door lock actuator, same as lights and horn. The keyfob receiver / VCM may well be all digital circuits, but at some point they have to put out an analog pulse to triger the door / lights / horn. And each one of those pulses will be placed on the circuit for that device, not on one buss, as there isn't one. So there has to be a connection / circuit to cut/tap since there is no buss on each device. But like I said, it will probably also stop the lights / horn working if the alarm goes off, (if the vehicle has an alarm).

I can't use my vehicle to do/test this, since I already installed an aftermarket alarm and disconnected the factory ford stuff so my ford keyfob doesn't do anything anymore. But I do have silent arm and disarm now

I'll pull out the wiring diagrams over the next few days and see what I find, but I can only have diagrams from an 06.
