Well today I am stunned a bit. I got a tracking number from Fiamma and my awning is on the way. I had placed my order on May 23rd and paid through their Paypal. Didn't hear back right away but figured things were OK. But then I read this thread.
I waited a couple weeks before contacting them via email. Then waited some more. Some how my message got through and these folks responded. I pretty much put the ball in their court on refunding or shipping and let them know I would be patient as the circumstances dictate such. They responded and were looking into the matter. Then I got an email last week asking if I wanted the awning and of course I said yes. I figured them filling orders is a way to keep things going and perhaps get their company moving again. I certainly felt terrible asking them about my order, but it's not a trivial chunk of change.
But I gotta hand it to them and wish them all the best. I can't even wrap my head around something like that.
