I imagine it wouldn't look too far from this:

Re: Saw a new Nissan Van

Saw this on ExPo:

Some one please buy one of these and make it 4X4!

Roadtrek N6 Active

Don't mind the look of the low-roof option.

Re: Saw a new Nissan Van

Hi;

That N6 Roadtrek is now for sale:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ROADTREK ... 474wt_1163

The listing has a very large number of photos for those who might want a peak at the interior of something like SMB might build on the new Nissan chassis.

Regards,

Gavin

Makes you wonder about the mother that gave birth to it, who quickly cut the umbilical cords and kicked it outside.

Looks like a good sized PH top if nothing else.

Re: Saw a new Nissan Van

Well, it doesn't look as bad as the Snoopy version since it is not the tall version. But it looks more like an Excursion or Expedition than a Van. It doesn't look like there is as much headroom and livable space as there is in a nice Ford Van. What's the price on this thing? If there is a significant price-point difference between this and a Ford SMB maybe it could be considered a viable alternative. Perhaps if it had wood paneling on the side they could market it to surfer-dudes. If they painted them in psychedelic colors they could market this thing to the VW Bus-type crowd. Or, they could sell them to the soccer Moms who want to take a nap while they're waiting for their kids to get done with practice. But, I don't think this thing will ever appeal to the boondock camping crowd. So, look for one of these things at the nearest KOA campground near you.

Living in a town where I see a dozen or so Eurovan weekenders (as well as campers and Vanagon Westies) each day on my five mile commute to work I can see the appeal of something slightly smaller than a full size Ford/Chevy van for taking the kids to school, practice, etc, and still be able to use the vehicle as a nice basecamp vehicle for day trips and weekend overnight trips to the not so deep in the boondocks areas.

Until they start bringing the Eurovan back this might be the next best option for that application.
