As to mounting I found this to be the best solution for us. It is attached with velcro and requires a little wedge piece to be level.

The other spot I like is the rear view mirror mount available from Blendmount.com

I use EOT/ECT/TFT (VLT/FIA) religiously and TFT saved my bacon on a ski trip last weekend. TFT went up dramatically in ~5 miles and when I pulled over there was tranny fluid pouring out of the truck - Long story short, low pressure hose rubbed through, quick trip to a mech for a bush fix & I was able to continue the trip.

FYI if you ever have issues in or near McCall Id, Sharlies Auto Repair are awesome!

Yeah, but how do you know what your Avg MPG is??

I say that in jest (at me) because that's what I have on mine. Actually, EOT/ECT/TFT is a better use for it.

1der, that is the same place I mounted it. I have set up tranny temp, engine temp, RPM and MGP. I like the small form factor of the gauge and it works perfectly.
