Security Question

I would like to add an additional layer of security. Would anyone be willing to share some how-to info (via PM so that car thieves can't easily discover it on this forum)? My prefered tactic is disabling the fuel pump unless there is a compelling reason for a different strategy such as ignition or battery disconnect.

I sometimes leave my Atlas 4x4 shifter in Neutral. Would probably confuse many thieves.

Look into an authorized Ravelo installation. Those can be configured to disable both the fuel supply and staring system. There are a few threads here about those devices so good information from similar trustworthy users.

FWIW if YOU can think of it a good experienced thief intent on stealing your van will be able to find a way to defeat it.

Thanks for the replies. I already have a standard car alarm (entry detection/glass break detection but also want a second layer. The Ravelo is a bit expensive for me so I am wanting to install a switch to disable the fuel pump.

Garage
40 years ago I used 4 nails; positioned front and back of the tires that were closest to the curb. Figured most thieves wouldn't expect this...still believe that!
To address the obvious: there was a time or two in which I almost forgot about them...wouldn't chance it now for fear of falling victim to a "senior moment".

Lol, I wouldn't trust remembering to remove the nails either, too.
