I have a 2WD modified EB-50 with a drivers side transfer seat, Braun UVL, full hand controls and a driver side running board lift. SMB-Fresno did the SMB part but my local mobility dealer in San Luis Obispo, CA did all the accessibility stuff. The UVL complicates things because it requires relocation of the house batteries....but I get a van interior uncluttered by a lift and lots of room immediately behind the drivers side for wheelchair/scooter, etc. The only way you can do a 4WD though is with an in van lift due to the ground clearance issues.
I also have a external Harmar scooter lift on the rear of the van so I can haul around my way cool 4WD scooter that weighs 350 lbs. SMB beefed up the rear end suspension with that in mind and it works well.
Overall, I love the van and all the freedom it gives me. I am an incomplete para and can walk short distances with crutches and brace but use a scooter/electric chair for most everything.
Good Luck,
Linda Sewell
