Sienna seats in E350 ?

Thanks for letting me on. I just got a 2012 E350. I love the van, use it mostly for work but seats are unbearable on my lower back. Dont have coin for Sheel Mann seats. I dont need recliners, just something to make my daily commuting
more comfortable.

Found these 2008 Sienna (non Reclining) seats locally. Can anyone tell me if they will fit in front seat. If so are there any modifications necessary for seat belts/ARS? Any input appreciated. Thank you.

I can't answer your specific question, but others here can.

I know that MGmetalworks (member here) fabricated some really nice seat bases to bolt these into econolines, and I think that design ended up at Ujoint offroad. ...not sure if Chris at Ujoint still sells them. There may be other seat base offerings for toyota seats....again others here who have done this will know.

One trick with seat swaps is that you need to retain the stock Ford "Pyro"..the receiving seat belt buckle assembly (with the explosive charge in it) and move that to the new seat.

I installed 2020 Sienna recliners in my E-350 Chinook. Im no specialist in seats but i fabricated my own brackets because there isnt anyone producing brackets that you can buy anymore.

The 2020 seats fit just fine but i can only assume that what you have will fit because yours dont have armrests on them like mine. MGmetal is the house expert on the topic but i will check later to see if i still have photos of how i did my brackets. I utilized 6 way electric sliders under mine along with the brackets i made to adapt them to the floor as well as brackets to adapt them to the seats after modifying the bracketry under the seat itself.

Your seat belt recievers must be swapped out for the ford units. As far as the seat belt themself, that depends if you plan to use the factory shoulder straps or the toyota seat belts that are mounted in your seats. If you dont plan on using the toyota belts i would remove them to avoid the hassles of having four belts.

Once in a blue moon you will find someone selling MG brackets used in the classifieds but its infrequent at best. That said figure its going to be on you to fabricate the brackets to make them work unless you manage to wait and find used MG brackets. Either way there is cutting and grinding to be doen under the seat itself to make things work. Measure 10 times then check again to be sure before you weld up your brackets because its easy to en dup with the seat to high or low for your own body. That why i used 6 way sliders. Also in your case, you have non-recliners which further complicates matters. Once they are installed thats it the back rest remains in that fixed position forever and if it isnt comfortable to you, then you have to redo your brackets all over. Thats where the 6 way electric bases save time and headache.

some people seem to like the sienna seats, some dont. Personally i dont like them, i think they are to firm and unforgiving for extended driving and if i hadnt installed the electric bases i would have yanked them out and sold them by now, they are that bad IMO. But i only gave $200 for the pair as brand new 2020 pullouts from a van that was being converted to a handicap accessible van.

I gotta shoot straight on this one because its somewhat time consuming labor to make these things fit... I honestly dont think you will be happy with a sienna fixed position backrest.. but again thats just my opinion because everyones body is different and everyone has their own unique preference when it comes to seating. I cant recall off the top of my head the exact cost of the 6 way electric sliders but it was in the range of $350 each.

Heres a link on expedition portal that MGmetal started on this very topic that may help you understand further.
