SMB RB50 Penthouse's under trim: Repair Segments?

Hello

Started the following thread: SMB RB50 Penthouse's under trim: Replace?

Sportsmobile does sell a trim and rivet kit for complete trim replacement, ~$250.

However, with the pop top shell 20+ yo, I am reluctant about replacing the trim, I might crack the fiberglass replacing the rivets.

Possibly a recommended way to repair only the damaged segments of trim that are split, instead of replacing the entire trim?

Wow that seal at $250 seems awfully steep. I happily paid $100 on Black Friday from Sportsmobile a few years back. Does anyone have an alternative source?

Yes, I agree this price is steep.
That is another reason for seeking a patch solution, instead of replacing the entire trim.
