Re: SMB was stolen last night
Just thinking about this some more. I don't know if this is even possible, and if it is maybe you already thought of it, but do the Bay and Golden Gate bridges keep track of who goes over them? I realize someone could just go south instead (or stay in the city), but thieves are sometimes (ahem) lazy or stupid, so maybe they'd go over one of the bridges and the license plate number would be seen? Of course at that point it's still stolen, so maybe not really useful info, but..... man if it were mine I would want to find it! (I'm sure you do too.)
So sucks. And just at the beginning of summer, too.

Re: SMB was stolen last night
Sorry to hear this. I despise thieves.
I recommend cross-posting on ExPo, and some other sites too. Maybe AndyR has a easy way to cross-post on all his other forums?

The GG Bridge photographs every license plate. Not sure if the Bay Bridge does. I think I can also check online for parking tickets.
And yeah, the beginning of camping season sucks. We had trips already planned for 6/19, 7/4, 7/19, Labor Day, etc.

Re: SMB was stolen last night
Beer For My Horses
By Toby Keith
"Well a man come on the 6 o'clock news
Said somebody's been shot, somebody's been abused
Somebody blew up a building, somebody stole a car
Somebody got away, somebody didn't get too far yeah
They didn't get too far
Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas find a tall oak tree,
Round up all them bad boys hang them high in the street
For all the people to see
That justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys, you got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back at the local saloon
We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses
We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds
Too much corruption, and crime in the streets
It's time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground
Send 'em all to their maker and he'll settle 'em down
You can bet he'll set 'em down
'Cause justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys, you got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
We'll all meet back at the local saloon
And we'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses
You know justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys, you got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back at the local saloon
And we'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses."
Songwriters: EMERICK, SCOTT / KEITH, TOBY
Sung by Toby Keith and Willie Nelson

Re: SMB was stolen last night
How's the claim process work? I didn't have my pickup insured for theft so that was just a total loss, but my SMB is insured through State Farm.
I'm looking everywhere for replacements.
So far, I want to sell our puppy at a huge profit and buy this one: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=16205
