SMB's in Mammoth?

I saw two Baja Tan EB's in Mammoth at the Canyon Lodge parking lot this past weekend. Were they owned by anyone on this board?

I'm in the process of spec'ing out an RB but have yet to really see one up close to gauge just how roomy they are on the inside.

I live in SoCal and head to Mammoth most weekends. If there's any chance I could meet with someone in the LA area or even in Mammoth to take a look and ask some questions, I'd be stoked!

Thanks!

Cheers,
Anthony

There are quite a few SMBs in the SoCal area, so some additional info may help someone step forward.

1) The LA area's a big place, being more specific might help.
2) Do you have any idea what sort of SMB floorplan you're interested in?

Herb

BTW, welcome to the board.

I live in the South Bay (Torrance).

I'm looking into the RB-50 since it seems to be the most popular floorplan and appears to meet my needs but I'm open to seeing other floorplans as well.

Thanks Herb. I've been lurking for a while now and look forward to contributing to the board.

Cheers,

If nothing else, I'm up in Ventura, and I have a Transformer-like (SMB model, not the movie, though that would be cool) van.

Very cool pics on your website! SMBs and photographers seem to go hand in hand.

Thanks Herb! I sometimes head up that way for a surf so I may just take you up on the offer

I totally forgot about the Transformer floorplan. I'll have to read up on that again at the SMB site.

Anthony - I'm in San Diego. I have a new RB 4x4 with an aisle type layout. If you are even in this area, I would gladly show you ours.

Right on, thanks! I was checking out your gallery and the aisle layout looks pretty cool.

Btw, is Magnus an Aussie? I've got two Aussies so it'll be good to chat and hear how dog-friendly your layout is.

Thanks!

We are up in Mammoth with the SMB probably one weekend a month in the winter and for longer stints in the summer. If we're up there at the same time, you're welcome to take a look. We have the EB-51 layout with an extra captain's chair.

Yes, Magnus is an Aussie and a big one at that. He's about 65 - 70 lbs. Our second dog is a lazy, 65 lb Airedale. Our layout has been great for our dogs. It gives them a lot of room to spread out, more so than the RB50 style would.
