Just made it back to Baja!!!! Oh so nice to be sitting on the beaches once again. Fueled up in Reno, Nevada and made it all the way to Mexicalli on that tank - barely (16.9 miles/gal). Paid $4.22/gal for diesel in Reno. On the fill up in Mexicalli I got stung for $2.08 a gallon.
If I get up off my butt in the next few days, I'll post some photos of the area.
Life's a beach and time flies when you're having rum....
Oh, did I mention that diesel is $2.08 a gallon here!!

Hey, you can be sure I'm going to top off the fuel tank on the way north. For sure, for sure. I'm thinking of saving my empty beer bottles and filling up the sixteen gallon water tank too.

Scatter, I live about 40 miles from Matamoros and was wondering if it was worth the drive alone, the border hassle, the wait. I know the big boys in their Texas trucks do it. Maybe I'll crunch the #s again. Diesel in South TX is $4/gal.

No whining about $4.00 Diesel! Here in Central California we're paying $4.499 minimum, and on my trip up to British Columbia (where i am now), I bought diesel for up to $4.749! Here in B.C. it's over a buck and a half A LITRE!!!!!
