Sportsmobile door stickers

My 2004 SMB needs some detail work. Body and interior are still in good condition but I will be removing scratches and dings.

Last week I ordered a new set of decals for the doors. The original letters are made from a good quality material you would find on a road sign. The outer surface of the decals are starting to show some wear. Yesterday I attempted to remove the old decals. If I don't find a way to remove them with something other a paint scraper or razer blade they will take some paint with them.

Anyone tried to replace the decals on the doors and did it without causing any damage to the underlying paint?

SierraHawk I haven't yet removed the stickers from our van,but have on various work trucks and have had great success with the 3M product.

Scotchbrite also has something similar ,but can't vouch for how effective it is.
A question for you as I would also like to replace our Sportsmobile stickers as well, where were you able to purchase them as I know Fresno's site is no longer up and running.
Cheers
Roger

A hair dryer or heat gun might help too.

Thanks for the info.

I am in the Reno area and ordered the decals through the warehouse in Reno. I tried to find a number for them but both Sportsmobile West and the Sportsmobile office in Reno are no longer listed.

I have also used what Blowby recommended and it works very nicely.
Also 3M General Purpose Adhesive remover 08984 works well.

Call Nancy at SMB North and see if she will set you up with some stickers.

I haven't seen a decal I couldn't remove without an eraser wheel of a heat gun. No paint damage at all.
