I does look better than the snoopy version, but it still screams NON-GNAR at me.

It's true, although Europe has some pretty cool vehicles. They seem to love 4WD (well, AWD at least) and high MPGs. I can appreciate that. I just don't understand why we don't see those same vehicles here...instead we get Fiat or something. How about sending over the Toyota Hi-Lux for a change!

That pic you posted is definitely a step in the right direction in terms of heinousness, but still...I too prefer a little more Gnar in my van.

Re: Sportsmobile posts photo of 2011 Nissan Conversion

I saw one of the new Nissan SMB conversions in Mammoth last weekend. We pulled into a favorite fishing spot and there it was. Up close, it was a decent looking vehicle. Had a penthouse top and nicely done interior.

I agree, it doesn't scream off road by any means but the PH versions are much better looking. The problem is I want something cool looking and the big window long nosed euro look just doesn't cut it for me.

Looks like a Lego truck to me.

I've never actually thought the big Ford vans were pretty, but these alternatives will make me change my mind!

Maybe I need to keep my van for the rest of my life? Change the engine, trans and redo the interior for less than a new van.

And, I do like my van.

Think it's similar to a conquest-knight vehicle. Normally they are an armored vehicle but are offer a look alike model. They do many cool looking vehicles so somebody out there knows how to make a nice looking rig. Wonder what they could do with a E-350

I've recently resolved to be more positive. I've been staring at the picture of this Nissan van for several minutes trying to find something good to say about it. All that comes to mind is the side door looks tall. That's good, isn't it?

Re: Sportsmobile posts photo of 2011 Nissan Conversion

Wow! I didn't think the current Nissan NV could get any worse, but this thing is hideous!

To me, it looks like the headlights, grill, hood, and windshield of a compact car being swallowed up by a silver blob! All those creases and dents on that body and bumper ... why? And those tires look so meek. It's just wrong.

Why can't we get something more along the lines of the Toyota Hiace or Fiat Ducato.

And I don't mind the looks of the Sprinter, particularly the 1st gen.

Cheers,
Brent
