Well, the price isn't bad compared to a Ford based SMB.

Only three things wrong with it:

- It's ugly - maybe I could learn to live with that

- The long nose adds length while taking away interior space

- It's a Nissan.

Re: Sportsmobile posts photo of 2011 Nissan Conversion

The real reason why we are getting all these European and Japanese vans is because the big three haven't changed the basics of their van designs since the 1920's. The rest of the world is concerned about manufacturing efficiency, fuel economy and practicality while we have gone in the opposite direction. Since the big three can't be bothered to design or innovate themselves, which I'm sure is the Labor Unions fault, they are left with bringing in ready made vehicles from their partners and overseas divisions. I'm guessing these vehicles will work for most of us and the rest of us will be stuck, like todays VW Syncro van enthusiasts, trying to keep vehicles going way past their sell-by dates.

Lets face it, how many vans are there out there with real 4WD systems? Think we're a big enough pressure group to make Ford, GM or Chevy build a van for us? If we're really lucky we might get something Japanese that has a functional 4wd system and a small, modern diesel engine but I don't plan on holding my breath...

Too funny, the cameraman was clearly afraid to take a full frontal angle on that thing, must have been a nice camera he was worried about...is it worse than an Aztec? Yeah I think so...

So as an automobile dealer, you take the time and trouble to produce a video like this, and then only have it spend about 5-6 seconds actually showing anything on the inside that makes this a Sportsmobile. A wasted opportunity in my opinion.

You're trying to make some lemonade out of some very sour lemons, but you skimp on the sugar.

In the scene in the video where you see the Utah State Capitol, the road going down the hill is called Gravity Hill. If you stop your car when going down the hill and put the vehicle in neutral, the car will start rolling backwards -- uphill. Perhaps there is a subliminal message in this video. What could it be?

Coil-over, IFS, single speed transfer case (2x or 4x, 1 range only). Hmmmm......

It is just under $11K, so the conversion price isn't too bad. Good for getting to and from the ski slopes I guess.

Better looking than the hightop, but needs to be lifted, oh I don't know, about a foot. A friend knows the Quigley guys well, they say it's a gas hog. Didn't someone say SMB is doing their own 4x4 using Titan stuff?
