Sportsmobile West Closing Shop?

I haven't seen anything in any of the forums about this. There's a notice on Sportsmobile.com that Sportsmobile West has closed up.

https://sportsmobile.com/west-announcement/

There's no date on the notice so I don't know if this is old news. Does anyone have any other info on what's going on?

Thanks Railvan! It looks like Field Van and SMB West Van will be across the street from each other. Is there some business relationship there?

I don't know any details beyond what I have read on these two websites.

Garage
Just a little while ago, Mr. Feld was going to keep on in the current location under the name SMB West, not affiliated with Sportsmobile, inc any longer. Now it appears that, perhaps due to legal issues, he can no longer use that business name. And maybe Sportsmobile, Inc is taking over that building. So Mr. Feld is opening up shop nearby under a completely new name. These are assumptions I made based in the little information that is available.

Jonathan Feld, the son of Alan Feld who founded SMBw, is the president of Field Van.

There must have been a heck of a battle of egos to trash 30 years of a business relationship.
