Thanks, Brian. I'll give it a try.

Make sure you take note and mark which terminal each wire goes to on the relay (most relays have the terminal number marked on the back) so you don’t get them mixed up.

It would seem more feasible that someone got the fans mixed up on the terminal strip. You should be able to verify that output of the relay is correct by measuring at the terminal strip.

Thanks, y'all. I believe I will start with the terminal strip. Seems like less room for error on my part.

I have found I can run the 110VAC air conditioner on a 20 amp shore power line as long as no other loads are on.

You should make sure the supplied voltage doesn't go too low. There is a voltage drop from the homes main panel & through the wiring, plugs, and extension cord. 30 amp might be overkill but they must be follow safety standards. If you over taxi the system you might have issues. The size of the circuit wire, & plug ratings are much higher if following code. Even the length and gauge of the extension cord makes a difference in both performance and safety.

I can adapt my 50'-0", 10/3 shore power line to a 20A receptacle right next to my meter and run the A/C with a 2.5 vac voltage drop. That takes me down to 117.5 vac at the load. I find that to be in the acceptable range. If all that's engaged is the A/C and the power converter/charger with no other 12vdc/110vac loads I don't have a problem. This is, of course, what occurs in my driveway. The results for others may vary.

Exactly what I did only my circuit wire and plugs are rated for 30 amps. Even the power companies supplied voltage can make a difference. I'm not saying it isn't possible to run a max load on a 20 amp circuit which is generally #12 wire with 20A rated socket but it's just not recommended. But the Starcool's max load is during startup and cycling so it's not like you are pulling a constant high load. However most people don't have or even know what wire, socket rating or distance their circuit is, so I would never recommend pushing it. Sorry but 36 years as a electrical troubleshooter has been drilled into me.

Your home wiring is more robust than mine. When I tried it (in order to test the system and add refrigerant) the voltage dropped below 100V, which is hard on the compressor.

One of my outdoor receptacles is right at the service entrance on it's own 20 amp breaker.
I have also run the van on an outdoor receptacle that feeds off the house breaker panel. Both are 50' from the van. The receptacle of the house panel probably has about 30' of branch circuit 12/3 between it and the panel. At present the condenser fan is seized so I'm not running the 110V A/C. I would like to uninstall it as I don't have much use for it.
