Stoked. I joined the club.

I got my wheels and I'm ready to roll. Thanks Enzo for making it easy. I love my ride, and rather ironically, so does my wife. She's affectionately begun to call it "barf". She said the color looks very similar to "bile" but barf sounded better. Whatever. I dig it. Anyway -- now to sink even more money into it. I ended up with a 2004 Ford E350 EB 4x4 V10. I'll be asking even more questions about it. I need to find out how to turn on the hella lights up front (for some reason, the switch escapes me) and how many gallons is the gas tank?

Joe

Congratulations Joe!
Sounds like you got a nice ride. Strange choice of name, but wives are like that.

The hella switch is typically by your left knee.
The tank is 46 gal as I recall.

Welcome!

Steve

I thought the switch was there but...

But it only lit up the rear lights. 46 gal goes quick then

With the fuel tank, the 46 gallon tank is an option. Also, with most of the 46 gallon tanks, the fuel foams when entering the tank, causing the filling station fuel pump to shut off before your tank is full. There have been a number of posts here about the problem and the solution.

Do you mean how long it takes, hom many times the fuel pump has to be reset, or the insane amount of money you just spent?

All of the above?

well for the first time, the gas dispenser stopped at 100 bucks. Never had that happen to me.. and yes it takes forever and yes it stops every 5 seconds. What a pain. I'll have to look up the fixes.

I only have that problem when I'm in California. All other states we've traveled in it doesn't happen. The pumps are different there but it still shouldn't happen. I'd also be curious what the fix is.

Congrats Joe. I have Hella fog lights, Hella off road lights as well as their backup lights. If you only have fog lights maybe they are wired to the headlight low beams w/o a switch. I asked that my fogs be wired to the headlights so I would not leave them on by accident. I had SMB add a switch to use them with my parking lights, something illegal in Ca. as they can be used with the high beams. My switches are all below the steering wheel like described above.
