That sucks. Another reason (unfortunately) for redundant theft protection - Revelco, steering wheel anti theft bar, etc).
Hope you get satisfaction through Police efforts.

Found!!

Our Sportsmobile Silver E-150 was recovered on 4/20/21. It was ditched in an apartment complex less than a mile away from where we live.

Stole the front custom cattle guard, led light panel, stripped all electronics, batteries, wiring and all out camping gear.

They removed fuses, relays and even drilled a hole in the gas tank to drain it of gas. Not drivable at the moment and sounds like its going to be totaled.

Bittersweet for sure. Sure hope they get caught and it doest happen to anyone else.

Stolen!!!

Buggin thieves....what to do? You going to take the insurance and purchase it back? sounds like most of that can be repaired/replaced/upgraded.

Always been thieves in this world eh? SO now that you were lucky enough to recover without them crashing it while rookie 4x4'ing, and as REF pointed out, BUY IT BACK (used to be 10-15% of value, yes title might be wonky, BUT, by the time you sell it, it will be proven trustworthy and easily sold [most probably]) and UPGRADE and put some items in that weren't in it in the first place!

MOST IMPORTANT IF you do buy it back and re-do, better move, get a garage you can park it in, or some other fool-proof method like removing the battery every time....b/c thieves do like to come back and (re-) steal the new stuff the insurance check bought...keepus posted!

Yeah the Revelco should be on a built out van if you live in or near major cities. These vans are just too easy to break into and/or steal. Sorry to the OP. Hope insurance takes care of you.

Bummer. Majority of the stolen vans on this site are stolen in California cities. Anyone traveling to CA be vigilant!! Not only your van but any recreation gear you have make sure it is locked at all times with high quality locks.
