Transit SMB

My father-in-law just showed up with the new Transit that he picked up at SMB Texas a couple days ago.
Thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone had any questions, or anything they wanted me to check out.

Re: Transit SMB

I'm sure most members would really like to see some pictures. I'm curious myself.

Re: Transit SMB

Nifty! I drove a Transit cargo around a week ago at a Ford dealer and I had visions of Home Brew dancing in my head (or SMB).

Curious: Does your FIL's SMB have barn doors or a slider? I liked that it's available with barn doors (vs. the Sprinter) but then wasn't sure if that was only offered on the super low top/passenger van.

Would love to see pics.

Re: Transit SMB

It's got a slider. Don't know if it makes a difference in the door options, but it's a wagon base. He said he had to convince SMB to work with it vs. a cargo van, but he reckons he saved a fair amount of money on the finish.

Re: Transit SMB

Thanks or the pics!

So, is your Dad sleeping across the back on the drop down couch? I am interested in wht the sleeping dimension is.

The big wall on the side door is a bit daunting from outside but likely very functional from inside for the storage it provides.

One thing that is for me is the holding tank vent pipe. I don't understand the lack of creativity in routing that??? I thought the lift up counter for enclosing he head was cool.
